Ingredients

Each 1 gm.  Triphala Churna  contains approx. :

  • Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) 333.3 mg
  • Bibhitaka (Terminalia belerica) 333.3 mg
  • Amalaki (Phyllanthus emblica) 333.3 mg

Indications

Triphala is held in high esteem by all scriptures of Ayurveda for its rejuvenating (rasayana) properties. Triphala prevents aging, imparts longevity, stimulates immunity, and is benevolent for all seven dhatus. It is the most efficient formulation for constipation with or without bleeding. It is useful in obesity,
abdominal distention, bleeding piles, poor digestion, asthma, bronchitis, diabetes, anemia, painful menstruation, migrane, and eye disorders.

 

Contraindications

In the cases of ulcerative colitis, appendicitis, pregnancy, or profuse menstrual flow, it should be
sparingly used. Large dose might induce loose bowl movements.

Dosage and method of administration

500 mg to 1 gm. daily, at night with honey (as rasayana).

1-3 gms. at bed time, with warm water (as laxative).

For  tired eyes: Soak one tea spoon of triphala
powder in one glass of water overnight. Filter the water with cotton cloth and wash eyes with filtered water.
