Yashtimadhu is an effective appetiser, anti-cold and anti-saturative herb. It is seen to be effective in cold, cough, sore throat.

Yashtimadhu Tea : Boil 1 tsp powder in 11/2 glass of water. Boil it on low heat till half. Drink it hot without filtering.

Ingredients

Each 1 gm.  Yashtimadhu  contains:

  • Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 1000 mg

Indications

Yashtimadhu is a vitalising, nervine tonic that promotes
longevity. It increases appetite and has anti-cold properties. It alleviates kapha diseases like cold, soar throat, and asthma. It treats the irritation of inflamed mucous membrane, so helps improve voice quality and relieves phlegm. Yashtimadhu powder with ghrit or honey, followed by a glass of milk, is the best tonic to improve vigor and vitality in men.

Contraindications

Avoid in hypertension, as it causes fluid retention.

Dosage and method of administration

1-2 gm. twice a day with ghrit, milk or water.
